Martina McBride

I just won tickets on GACTV.Com i am so excited. i was hoping this would happen but i have to do major traveling. i am hoping that my friend will go on the roadtrip we are planning to sc. it is in the works. i am so happy.

I am a martina fan and love having fun ,going to concerts ,dancing, volunteering, eating ,singing watching tv but the thing i love most is my music. If you listen to Martina's music it is the soundtrack of my life. She helps me feel human. I love her sound and mostly the lyrics. i love learning about her and she allows us too. I recently cut my hair to match hers just for fun. i even talked to her stylist for tips. that was cool.

This is just part of MY MARTINA STORY
I was reading one of the stories you all sent me and it brought back some great martina memories. i went to my first martina show probably 2003 or 04 it was her christmas show. i went with my friend Alli. she was speaking in a aceent all night how emabarrassing.( it was fake) it was something she think is fun. it was at the civic center in erie and our seat were not on the floor but paralell with the stage and close enough that we could see the beautiful blues eyes of Martina Mcbride. it was awesome. those eyes just have never left my moemory. she and i made eye contact many times and i will always remember how blue they are lol. this sounds weird writing it down but it is all true. that night she was walking around in the audience. she even helped someone propose to his girlfriend by reading his note. so we decided to make a poster to get her attention so we dug around to try and find a way to make our poster s. all we had were the posters that the radio station gave out when we got there. and some lipstick. so we wrote we love you martina come over here please. we were so stupid she could not come to where we were lol. it was fun none the less. she also brought all the kids up to read them the christmas story, i was wishing i had a kid. lol.
My second concert was the waking up laughing tour and i had floor seats 3rd row. so excited. i always go an hour early to concerts so i was standing there at the door when a lady who seemed normal and friendly came up to chat . she asked if i knew anyone who wanted tickets because she had an extra one ( this happens every time to me i should not buy tickets just go lol) i told her i had one but my mom had just dropped me off and could not be far away . she handed me her cell phone and i called my mom back over. the lady gave my mom a 6th row on the floor tickets. close to the aisle. the only glitch is this lady sat with her and she got so drunk. she was loud and crazy. i would sit with 100 drunk people to see martina like that. and she did it for free. what an amazing night. the concert was awesome and martina was beautiful.
Another martina moment is when i got my acceptance letter to college her song happy girl came on. i danced and called everyone. mom was the last to know because she was gone. i played the song loud and over and over i was a happy girl.
i remember the first time i saw martina do concrete angel as well. it was on tv maybe an award show and they had a set up that looked like a cemetary it had an enchanting like affect and the song was so beautiful but so sad. i cried. i still envision that performance when i hear that song. it really put a passion in me to listen and help abused kids as well.
I have yet another martina memory, i went on a mission trip in 2007 to the philippines and on the plane her music played and the single at the time was anyways. wow that song give you strength. it inspired me that year and hearing on the plane felt so amazing because i was doing it. my dream was coming true and i did not wait for it to happen i made it happen well God did. i then used in my slideshow for church to help lift them up as well. to get them to dream, build and love anyways.
Then in 2008 i was sick in the hospital and i was so depressed. i wanted to die so bad. i listen to a ton of music and had my friend to bring it to me. the first trip she only brought a few. she had no clue what i liked the most. just grabbed some. she had no idea who anyone was but she brought a couple martina disc along with some others. so i started to listen to them. really every moment i could i had my music on., its my escape and what lifts me up. i listened to the waking up laughing disc a lot since it was the newest one. i heard the song Beautiful Again and started to realize that she was right. life does get beautiful after the rain. it does not always rain and it takes the rain to make things beautiful. it really got me to want to live again. i knew things would get better and that God had big plans for me and dying i would not know what they are. this song i wrote out and put on my door and shared it with other patients and oh how the environment changed. this song and a song by kristy starling called broken helped lift spirits and help some to feel something. when you are depressed you feel numb and it took the numbness away. we started a giant poster to put positive sayings lyrics and inspiring thoughts on to help me to wake up and see the awesomeness and opportunity that is life. do it anyways even when life gets hard. now the song Ride keeps me thinking positive nad wanting to ride thatrollercoaster that is life. its exciting pretty boring now but i now it is not going to be for long.
now my niece is also a huge martina fan. she is three. jayden loves to listen to martina ask her what she wants to hear and she say martina. she knows her voice an d her music. she used to sing i am little but i m loud all the time and make us play over and over. she has advanced since to wild angels, anyways, ride, your not leaving me and wrong baby wrong baby wrong. it so cute to hear her wail away to martina. she also love trace's honky tonk badonkadonk, which made me really want to take her to a concert with them both talk about a happy girl if i could have arranged that. she loves Reba too but martina is her fav by far.
i sit and watch anything that she appears on and watch the award shows hoping that she will win. i want to see it so bad. i have seen it a whild back but again would be amazing.i was so happy she debuted at number 1 with shine!
oH AND LAST SUMMER I WAS WORKING AT WLD RANCH AS A COUNSELOR AND I HAD A GIRL THERE THAT LIKED SOME OF MARTINA'S SONGS I BELIEVE ONE OF THEM WAS GOD'S WILL. THIS GIRL REALLY OPENED UP TO ME BECAUSE OF OUR LOVE FOR MARTINA MUSIC. SHE ONLY KNEW A FEW SONGS BUT THEY REALLY IMPACTED HER HARD. AND HER STORY MADE ME THINK THAT THERE WERE A COUPLE MARTINA SONGS THAT WOULD BE GREAT FOR HER TO HEAR SO SENT HER COPIES OF ALL MARTINA'S CDS SO THAT SHE COULD MAKE HER OWN MEMORIES. AND FIND THAT SONG THAT MET HER WHERE SHE WAS. SORRY FOR THE CAPS BUT STARTED TYPING TO MUCH BEFORE I REALIZED I WAS DOING IT LOL.
I REMEMBER MANY OF NIGHTS WHERE I JUST WAS SO MAD, SAD , DEPRESSED,HAPPY,NEEDING TO RELAX, DANCE OR CHILLAND I HAD TO TURN ON MARTINA. ITS HER MUSIC THAT BRINGS ME OUT OF MY RUTS. SHE HAS SAVED MY LIFE MANY TIMES AND HAS INSPIRED ME SO MUCH. I LOVE THE SONG LOVES THE ONLY HOUSE AND FOR THESE TIMES BECAUSE OF THE IMPORTANCE OF SERVING NAD SHARING OUR GIFTS. MARTINA SEEMS TO DO THIS WITH AND WITHOUT TRYING. SHE HAS AN AMAZING HEART. I DO ALOT OF SERVICE WORK TOO AND TRY AND KEEP IN MIND THESE SONGS AND PRAY FOR THOSE THINGS SHE IS SINGING ABOUT. I DO NOT DO ANYTHING FOR MARTINA I DO IT FOR GOD BUT HER MUSIC HELPS ME TO REMEMBER THAT IT IS ALL FOR HIM AND THAT IT IS WHAT HE WANTS US TO DO.
i HAVE SO MANY OTHER MEMORIES BUT I WILL SAVE THEM FOR ANOTHER BLOG ENTRY.

BY THE WAY IT CAME OUT AROUND THE SAME TIME AS MARTINA I THOUGHT THAT WAS CRAZY THOUGHT. MY TWO FAVEORITE THINGS CAME AT THE SAME TIME. I WAS 8 OR 9 WHEN MY OBESSESIONS STARTED AND UNFORTUNATLY FOR MY FAMILY HAVE ONLY GROWN BUT WHAT CAN YOU DO. I JUST WANT TO KNOW, HAVE AND TALK ABOUT MY FAVORITE PEOPLE. I DO WITH JESUS,TBAA AND MARTINA, SOMETIMES COUNTRY MUSIC IN GENERAL. JUST LET ME KNOW I DO WANT HEAR EVEN WHEN OTHERS DO NOT. SHARE IT ALL RIGHT HERE.
